Bannister Lake embraces NDI® workflow with its new Chameleon NDI® Player
Bannister Lake has just announced the Chameleon NDI® Player data aggregation solution. It can read multiple data sources (news, weather, sports, traffic, social media and financial) and allows users to edit, moderate and customized the data. As the name suggest, the latest solution of the company is fully compatible with NDI® workflow.
This solution also uses Chameleon’s Query functionality: data can be parsed at a granular level, enabling producers to select data to target viewers. It automates the flow of data to endpoint and, through Chameleon’s RESTful API, data content can be reformatted for distribution to virtually any device or enpoint. The company also points out the compatibility of this NDI® solution with the eSports and digital signage industries.
In addition to managing traditional editorial data content, Chameleon fits for producers who need a way to display local and hyperlocal content, including election results, school closings, and event calendars. In addition, Chameleon’s custom data feature can ingest data from Google Sheets.
George Hentsch, president of Bannister Lake, talks about the company’s latest release: “We are excited by the growing popularity of NDI-supported solutions and the significant number of downloads of the NDI SDK. Chameleon adds an entirely new level of NDI production professionalism by allowing users to manage and display highly relevant and timely data content that their audiences demand.”
Naturally, Banister Lake will be present at the 2019 NAB Show (6-11 April)
