BCE will produce and stream the CEV’s European Volleyball Cups 2021 drawing of lots
To ensure the global footprint of the drawing of lots, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) entrusted Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) with the live production of the event as well as live transmission and live streaming.
To ensure the best quality, the live production will take place in BCE’s grand studio, located at RTL City in Luxembourg. Among key features such as a 4 x 2.5 meters LED screen and the filming via PTZ and manned HD (High Definition) cameras, the production will be handled by BCE from its full HD outside broadcast van, directly connected over IP to the studio. BCE will create the graphics as well to present the results of the three competitions draws: the CEV Championship Volley, the CEV Volleyball Cup and the CEV Challenge Cup, totalling about 200 teams to be drawn.
Thanks to BCE’s SNG vehicle and its HD connection via Eutelsat, the program will be transmitted live over Europe while BCE’s digital media platform will allow the live streaming of the event to the CEV’s YouTube and Facebook accounts. In addition, the CEV and its partners will have access to meeting and offices rooms, VIP lounges and the lobby of RTL City will be dedicated to their event.
“Our multiple expertise in production, postproduction, transmissions and live streaming allows the perfect broadcast of the CEV event,” explains Xavier Thillen, Head of Production & Digital Media Operations at BCE. “Our team of experts support the CEV at every step of their project to ensure the best result.”
“The anticipation is obviously mounting among Volleyball fans from across Europe and even overseas. The Drawing of Lots has become a truly major highlight for all members of the Volleyball family, and it will set the tone for yet another exciting season filled with the actions of the world’s best Volleyball players. We have found in BCE an experienced partner matching our needs to deliver a quality product for viewers across multiple platforms, as we continue to step up our efforts to provide fans with an innovative and entertaining digital experience,” adds CEV President Aleksandar Boričić.
