CyanView will present its new remote camera control via 4G at IBC
The range of camera control systems of CyanView will be at IBC 2019 (Amsterdam’s RAI, September 13-17) with new additions.
Let’s start with the Cy-Ri0. Based on the Cy-Ci0, it can control “any camera over any communication channel including, for example, IP (cabled or WiFi)”… including 4G. David Bourgeois, founder and CEO of CyanView, talks about the new product: “We demonstrated the Cy-Ri0 at NAB. A camera was located in Paris – almost 9,000 kilometres away – but we controlled it via 4G, with a latency of less than 200 milliseconds. If the latency had been unacceptable, we could have combined the Cy-Ci0 with the Cy-VP4 to mitigate it.”
CyanView will showcase more products: the Cy-GWY-IO, a smaller version of the Cy-GWY gateway that includes 16 x GPI for tally and touchdown, enabling an unlimited number of camera to be connected; the Cy-VP4 camera control unit, now evolved into a universal CCU; and the Cy-Stem range, which comprises a universal RCP control panel and a series of small hardware modules.
In addition, Blackmagic, CIS, Dream Chip, IOI, Marshall and Toshiba mini-cameras, as well as PTZ cameras from Lumens, Marshall, Panasonic and Sony, can now benefit from the Cy-Stem control system.
