Innovation Days Series

The events will discuss how IP and cloud will enable next generation TV across London, Paris and Madrid

Veset, Zixi and KnoxMediaHub have announced that they will be holding a series of innovation days across London, Paris and Madrid, throughout June. The events will discuss how IP and cloud will enable next generation TV.

The events, which will take place on the 19th June in London, the 21st June in Paris, and the 26th June in Madrid, will explore the challenges and opportunities of using cloud and IP technology across the media lifecycle, from content management to playout and linear channel origination to global broadcast grade stream distribution.

Igor Krol, CEO, Veset commented: “The industry is beginning to emerge from its early scepticism of the IP and cloud for media workflows, but is now faced with the challenging of understanding just how to implement them. These events will go some way to delivering that understanding of processes right through the media workflow.”

The event in London will be taking place on the 19th June at the Amazon Headquarters. It offers speakers such as Ginx TV, a leading e-sports channel reaching 55 million households in North America, Europe and Asia. Veset, Zixi and KHM are Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partners with experience of deploying workloads on AWS.

“Many forward thinking broadcasters, content owners and service providers are adopting new IP and cloud-based tools to reduce costs and gain flexibility in managing, creating, and delivering live SD, HD and UHD channels in perfect broadcast quality,” added Michael Poppler, Director Global Channel Sales, Zixi. “With this series of events, attendees can learn from broadcasters already uses this technology to greatly improve efficiency and reduce costs.”

In Paris, on the 21st June at Amazon Web Services building, attendees will hear from Fashion TV, a global leader in the distribution of fashion and lifestyle, which distributes to 300 million households via cable and satellite and 500 million viewers via mobile devices, smart TVs and OTT apps. Santiago Miralles, CEO, KMH added: “As with any new technology, in order to successfully implement IP and cloud workflows, understanding the key concept and use cases is crucial. These events will address the challenges, opportunities, and existing use cases.”

The series will end with an event on the 26th June at the Amazon Web Services building in Madrid. If you would be interested in attending any of the innovation days, contact
