Matrox releases Maevex 6152 quad 4K decoder

Applications of Matrox Maevex 6152 4K decoder

Matrox® Video is now shipping Matrox Maevex 6152 quad 4K decoders and Maevex 6100 Series encoders. These solutions enable commercial and critical 24/7 environments to deliver, decode, and display up to four 4K streams of “ultra-low-bitrate”, 4:4:4 and 4:2:0 AV content over LAN, WAN, or internet—with as little as 50 ms of latency.

“Matrox Maevex 6152 is a true breakthrough in AV-over-IT technology that allows enterprises and organizations to stream AV content like never before,” said Ron Berty, business development manager at Matrox Video. “The Maevex 6100 Series encoder and decoder pair unlocks the industry’s current combined compression, quality, and latency limitations to fully enable end-to-end solutions that get the content you need to the places you want it and within the timeframe you need it.”

The Maevex 6152 decoder features decoding support of up to four 4K streams, or many lower resolution streams, from a single standalone appliance. Users can address one or more streams per display by selecting from an assortment of pre-configured layouts for each screen. Combining with both Maevex 6100 Series encoder streams and H.264 third-party encoder streams, Maevex 6152 makes it easy to create advanced and integrated decoding solutions.

Furthermore, the Maevex PowerStream Plus software management tool provides users with an assortment of drag-and-drop stream and layout selection options, along with available previews for decoder output configurations. Included with all Matrox Maevex 6100 Series encoder and decoder products, Maevex PowerStream Plus facilitates complete control of all Maevex devices. Multiple APIs and SDKs are also available for rapid customization and integration purposes.
