Mediaproxy LogServer now supports 8K HEVC TSoIP signals

The LogServer IP-based logging, monitoring and analysis software developed by Mediaproxy has expanded its capabilities in its latest update. The system now provides support for 8K HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) TSoIP (Transport Stream over IP) signals and video editing capabilities for material on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Dailymotion and Brightcove.

Mediaproxy firmly believes that 8K is the future of broadcasting. As the company points out, the Japanese public broadcaster NHK will use the format for its coverage of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Erik Otto, CEO Mediaproxy said: “Our technology is able to receive an 8k source and down-convert it into something manageable. The latest version of LogServer is 8k ready and also able to handle HEVC and TSoIP encoded streams.”

In the last 12 months, improvements have been made to LogServer that have included OTT monitoring capability.
