NASA TV celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 with LiveU Matrix
The LiveU Matrix content management and distribution service has been the solution chosen by NASA TV to provide broadcasters the possibility of obtaining the official NASA live feed over IP for free.
The special program, called “NASA’s Giant Leaps: Past and Future – Celebrating Apollo 50th as we Go Forward to the Moon”, will feature special highlights of the mission to the moon. NASA TV will broadcast live from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the newly-restored Apollo mission control room at Johnson Space Center in Houston and the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
LiveU Matrix has been adopted by major news organizations such as CBS, CNN, Quincy Media and others. Mike Savello, LiveU’s VP of Sales, America, talks about the collaboration with NASA TV: “We’re honored to help promote NASA’s amazing Apollo 11 Anniversary event. With LiveU Matrix, broadcasters can access high-quality live video and immediately distribute the content without sending a crew to cover the event. Instead, they can receive the official NASA feed and integrate components into their live newscast.”
