Open Broadcast Systems and Cerberus Tech partner to deliver IP video at BVE

The companies will be demonstrating joint solutions at BVE from 27th February to 1st March

Open Broadcast Systems and Cerberus Tech have announced a partnership to deliver IP video contribution solutions to broadcasters. The companies will be demonstrating joint solutions at BVE from 27th February to 1st March.

Open Broadcast Systems provides high quality, low latency encoding and decoding solutions for IP contribution. Its solutions run as apps in standard off-the-shelf IT hardware, meaning broadcasters can run multiple services within each piece of hardware. It also means apps can be added and removed as required and immediately.

Cerberus is a global services company and integration specialist in IP connectivity and video broadcast. It works with broadcasters wishing to migrate to IP workflows.

Kieran Kunhya, Managing Director, Open Broadcast Systems, said: “IP has obvious and massive benefits for broadcasters in terms of flexibility, scalability, and cost efficiency. However, the workflows are very different and companies such as Cerberus Tech will be key in helping broadcasters migrate to these new workflows.”

Chris Clarke, Cerberus Tech, added: “Having worked with Open Broadcast Systems on a number of projects, we have been extremely impressed with its solutions, its dedication, and its extremely fast turnaround. Together, we can enable the broadcast industry to embrace the future of IP video.”

Open Broadcast Systems and Cerberus will be exhibiting on stand K15 at BVE from the 27th February until 1st March 2018.
