Vision-VOD, Qligent’s solution that “enables comprehensive, virtualized assessment and verification of file-based content throughout the Video on Demand (VOD) experience”, will be presented at 2019 NAB Show, event that will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center between April 8 and 11.

According to Qligent, this new product is “revolutionary” and unique in the industry: “What makes Vision-VOD unique in the marketplace is that providers can not only ensure the quality of their VOD files, they also gain valuable feedback and insight into bigger questions like whether viewers are able to access and consume the content with its intended quality and integrity”, remarked Ted Korte, CTO of the Florida-based software analytics developer.

Vision-VOD permits users to choose which VOD parameters they want to evaluate at a particular point in the chain. At the front end of the delivery chain, users can analyzed and verify attributes as Quality of Experience (QoE) of video, audio and content metadata; media container performance; captions or loudness, among other alternatives. At the back end, the parameters that can be motorized are adaptive bitrate (ABR) compliance, download rates, manifest verification, lost segments and latency. This will allow, among other applications, to quickly identify and minimize any issue that may occur during the VOD user’s experience.

The latest Qligent’s tool offers different pay-as-you-go pricing models for its deployment in the cloud, virtual machines or hosted by a third party. If you are already a user of Qligent’s Vision platform, you can add Vision-VOD to the tool.
