Spanish media group Atresmedia announced the addition of several of its programmes to Netflix’s catalogue. Following their broadcast on the group’s channels, they will also be available on the platform for on-demand viewing, according to a statement issued by the company.
The titles already available include ‘El hormiguero’ (‘El Hormiguero’), ‘El Intermedio’ (‘El Intermedio’), ‘Sueños de libertad’ (‘Loving Again’), ‘Pasapalabra’ (‘Password’) and ‘Equipo de investigación’ (‘Investigation Team’). Netflix will also add the series ‘Veneno’ (‘Veneno’), created and directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, in the near future.
The addition of these titles to the platform’s offering is intended to strengthen the relationship between Atresmedia and Netflix, which in recent years has added productions such as ‘La Casa de Papel’ (‘Money Heist’), ‘Ángela’ (‘Angela’), ‘Alba’ (‘Alba’), ‘La cocinera de Castamar’ (‘The Cook of Castamar’), ‘Toy Boy’ (‘Toy Boy’), ‘Mentiras’ (‘Lies’), and, more recently, ‘Entre Tierras’ (‘The Vineyard’) and ‘Perdiendo el juicio’ (‘The Trial’).
Atresmedia now also available on Netflix
‘El Hormiguero’ (‘El Hormiguero’) will be available for on-demand viewing on Netflix following its broadcast on Antena 3. ‘El Intermedio’ (‘El Intermedio’), presented by El Gran Wyoming and Sandra Sabatés, will also be available on the platform.
‘Pasapalabra’ (‘Password’), another of Antena 3’s flagship programmes, will likewise be available on Netflix following its broadcast on the channel.
The selection is completed by ‘Equipo de investigación’ (‘Investigation Team’), the laSexta investigative report programme presented by Glòria Serra.
‘Veneno’ coming soon
‘Veneno’ (‘Veneno’) will soon join these titles. The series is one of the original productions of atresplayer to have achieved the greatest impact both in Spain and internationally. Created by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, the fiction is inspired by the life and memoirs of Cristina Ortiz, “La Veneno”, and became a major social and cultural phenomenon following its premiere.
