Audinate announces Dante Ready licensing for video

Audinate Group Limited, the brains behind the professional AV industry’s leading Dante® AV-over-IP platform, has rolled out Dante Ready licensing for their Dante AV-A and Dante AV-H networked video solutions. This innovative move introduces a licensing program empowering original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to ship products with Dante pre-installed but inactive, allowing end customers to unlock channels of Dante audio and video on supported products in the field.

Wim Roose, Senior Product Manager at Audinate, sheds light on this development, stating, “With Dante Ready licensing, our OEM video partners can now extend the reach of Dante AV across a wider range of product SKUs without incurring additional licensing costs. Moreover, Dante Ready brings Dante audio and video channels to cameras, encoders, and decoders already shipping and installed in the field with a firmware update.”

Dante Ready offers a dynamic solution for enhancing the connectivity and interoperability of the industry’s go-to AV-over-IP solution, catering to both OEM partners and end customers. This flexibility enables AV professionals to enhance their systems by seamlessly adding Dante video and audio channels as required, connecting to a vast array of over 4,000 products from more than 600 manufacturers. As installations evolve, Dante Ready allows customers to scale their systems incrementally, investing in additional Dante channels and features as needed. In addition to Dante AV-A and Dante AV-H, Dante Ready licensing is also available for Dante Embedded Platform, Dante Application Library, and Dante IP core audio solutions.

The activation of Dante Ready channels is streamlined through the Dante Activator feature within the widely utilized Dante Controller application, facilitating straightforward audio and video subscription management. Transactions are secure and straightforward, with device upgrades seamlessly executed without the hassle of entering complex license keys or transferring license files, ensuring a hassle-free activation process for AV professionals.

Dante AV represents a suite of networked video solutions tailored to address various quality, latency, bandwidth, application, and OEM design requirements. The Dante AV platform continues to expand, with over 50 partners and 80 products launched to date.

Audinate is set to showcase Dante AV and its latest innovations firsthand at InfoComm 2024, booth C8012 in the Central Hall from June 12-14.
