Ateme and Du join forces to offer OTT and DTH solutions in the UAE

Ateme has announced an agreement with Du, from EITC, to offer its solutions for OTT and DTH/IPTV projects.

Du is adopting Ateme’s solutions and services in two projects. For its OTT platform, it has chosen to implement geo-redundant TITAN Live encoder for 610 channels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as the TITAN File transcoder for offline encoding.

On the other hand, Du’s DTH platform will rely on Ateme with 28 bouquets based on 220 main channels and 220 backup channels to better serve its IPTV platform and affiliates. The completely software-oriented structure of these projects will allow the company to seamlessly transition to cloud-based models in the future.

Saleem AlBlooshi, Chief Technology Officer, Du, commented: “These new initiatives cement our long-standing relationship with ATEME, with whom we have previously worked together on a DR DTH project. Throughout the partnership, we’ve benefited from ATEME’s large local presence, which ensures we have the support we need to execute these projects successfully. Du fully trusts ATEME’s solutions to provide the high video quality at low latency that our customers deserve.”

Razik Zaghlouli, Regional Sales Director, ATEME, added, “We are pleased to be able to offer continued support to Du as it realizes new projects to improve its offering across the UAE. Our disruptive business model is unmatched within the industry and this is a key factor in the success of our partnerships as we are able to ensure our solutions meet not only the current needs of our customers, but also any future requirements.”
