The Best Ottawa Business Awards recognize Ross’ human resources initiatives

Ross Video has obtained two Best Ottawa Business Awards (BOBs) recently. The two prizes are ‘Best Business’ and the ‘Best Performance in HR’.

The ‘Best Business’ award recognizes company’s growth initiatives, financial strength, market position, and community involvement.

On Ross words, “The company was chosen based on its status as an industry leader in the market, 30 consecutive years of growth, and strong community outreach efforts.”

The ‘Best Performance in HR’ award is presented to a company based on a noteworthy human resource initiative. Ross’s award-winning initiative was the introduction of leave, including maternity, paternity and adoption leave, as well as sick, family medical and compassionate care leave. The goal of these improvements was to better support employees and their families.

The company has also won another award previously: Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

“Ross is proud to have been recognized as one of the leading companies in the Ottawa business community and is honoured to accept both awards,” says Mary Clement, Vice-President of HR at Ross Video. “Throughout the pandemic, the HR team has diligently worked to support our employees by implementing work-from-home policies, flexible work options, and additional mental health and wellness programs.”
