Brainstorm Neuron now supports HTML5

At NAB 2024, booth SL4097, has unveiled a significant update for Neuron, its MOS-compatible system that integrates graphics creation and management into various newsroom, continuity, and broadcast traffic operation environments. Neuron allows users to incorporate high-quality pre-defined 3D graphics into their workflow without constant input from the Graphics Department. This update brings full compatibility with HTML5, enabling Neuron to integrate seamlessly with any web-based NRCS applications.

This HTML5 support builds upon Neuron’s existing integrations with common NRCS such as AP ENPS, Avid iNews, Octopus, Annova, Marsys, VSN News, or Pebble Beach. At NAB, Brainstorm has announced integrations with Octopus Newsroom, Etere Nunzio, and SNEWS Arion, marking the first additions to a growing list of HTML5-compatible NRCS systems that can now leverage Neuron’s powerful real-time 3D graphics management.

According to Juliano Milanez, Head of New Business at SNEWS Newsroom Solutions, “The integration of SNEWS Arion with Neuron signifies a revolution in production processes for media companies, allowing for more fluid creation and distribution of graphic content, access to high-quality visuals, and flexibility for customization. This partnership has enabled the delivery of high-quality content quickly and efficiently, making it one of the best integrations on the market, adaptable to the client’s workflow and raising the standard of quality of the user experience.”

According to the company’s declarations, the HTML5 integration allows Etere and SNEWS users to seamlessly send and receive real-time Neuron graphics for the rundown through MOS objects. Users can preview the graphics within the same interface before adding them to the rundown, and real-time updates ensure easy navigation through the rundown and access to all linked graphics.

Furthermore -Brainstorm keep on explaining- existing partners like Octopus are leveraging HTML5 to integrate Neuron with their advanced product lines, offering broadcasters more options for technology adoption and enhancing news production efficiency and quality. Milan Varga, Product Manager at Octopus Newsroom, expresses excitement about the integration, stating, “As Octopus Newsroom, we’re thrilled with this integration with Brainstorm’s Neuron, leveraging its advanced HTML5-based MOS plugin support to empower broadcasters to get on-air faster with a comprehensive, fully scalable range of solutions.”

David Moldes, Brainstorm’s Product Manager, highlights the significance of the updates to the Neuron product line, stating, “The latest updates to our Neuron product line give it a new technology edge the market was asking for. The HTML integration, along with additional features, expand the potential user base to new segments of the market and opens the door to integrations with other NRCS.”
