Digital 9 Infraestructure acquires 48% of Arqiva

Recently, Digital 9 Infrastructure, a provider of fiber communications infrastructure, announced a purchase agreement for the entire stake that Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) holds in Arqiva. The deal is expected to be completed in the second half of 2022.

Arqivais a UK data services provider. It currently owns 1,450 transmission sites in the UK, as well as a satellite terrestrial infrastructure offering 1,100 television channels internationally, through 80 ground stations accessing more than 30 satellites. It is a provider of data services in the United Kingdom.

CPP Investments bought Arqiva in 2009. Now, Digital 9 Infrastructure will pay £459.3 million for 48% of the company. The deal is expected to be completed in the second half of 2022.
