Disguise unveils next-gen EX media servers to impulse entertainment

Disguise has announced the latest advancement in its hardware solutions with the launch of a new generation of EX media servers. This follows the recent debut of the RX III real-time render node, further expanding access to Disguise’s cutting-edge live visual experience platform.

The new EX media servers—EX 2, EX 2C, and EX 3+—mark a significant upgrade in Disguise’s modular scalable hardware architecture. Designed to handle both pre-rendered video playback and real-time rendering on a large scale, these servers offer a robust solution for various production needs.

Ideal for permanent installations in museums, theme parks, cruise ships, and immersive spaces, these new EX servers integrate advanced software with top-tier support. Their compact and low-noise 2U chassis design also makes them perfect for live events such as theatre shows and corporate presentations.

Equipped with state-of-the-art components like the latest PCIe Gen 5 motherboard, the new EX machines provide flexibility with two or three 4K video outputs and adaptable video capture capabilities. They are fully scalable, capable of operating in a network for redundancy and failover with other EX range machines, or as dedicated directors and editors alongside the VX and GX ranges.

“The launch of our new EX media servers continues our mission to provide the most advanced and reliable solutions for live visual experiences,” said a Disguise spokesperson. “With the RX III real-time render node, users can now create and render complex real-time scenes with pixel-perfect precision.”

Both the EX and RX hardware ranges are supported by Disguise’s renowned 24/7/365 support services, local service centers, and server loan programs, ensuring seamless operation for any project.

The EX 2, EX 2C, EX 3+, and RX III are now available for purchase.
