GatesAir and Tecom strengthen Intraplex® IP Link with a centralized management tool

GatesAir, NAB Show,

GatesAir joins forces with Tecom Group to equip its Intraplex® IP Link audio codecs with a centralized network management system

GatesAir’s customers were looking for a reliable, external Network Management System to monitor and log performance of IP Codecs, remotely control & configure geographically distributed elements using IP Link’s built-in secure web and SNMP access, build performance reports, and customize alarm policies from one simple web interface. Tecom Group caters for these needs with NEBO, the company’s recently launched modular platform designed for efficient equipment management.

NEBO offers a holistic approach towards multivendor equipment monitoring and control enabling an efficient workflow infrastructure diagnosis from a single web interface. The platform comprises elements’ connectivity and availability verification, and ensures fault, performance, configuration and account management with an aim to enhance overall productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Apart from basic network management software functionality, NEBO performs automatic identification and seamless connection of new devices (auto discovery), providing alert logging & analysis that offers comprehensive graphs and reports with an ability to create custom templates. NEBO’s vendor neutrality helps to leverage connectivity and control across all network resources. Flexible licensing options and a highly customizable user interface allows for the platform’s branding and localization so vendors can expand the scope of their product offering and deliver more business value.

Monitoring of unattended and geographically distributed sites is performed by a NEBO RC (remote controller) physically installed alongside with the controlled equipment. It communicates with all of the site elements via SNMP and non IP protocols to aggregate and transfer data to the network operations center thus providing for remote configuration and reducing operational costs.
