Gravity Media announces the power of its new Manchester Production Center

Gravity Media has recently relocated its Manchester Production Center with the aim of offering a wide range of services, expanding into the broadcast and post-production markets and establishing relationships and creative opportunities outside of London. The facility is connected to Gravity Media’s network of remote production centers.

The new headquarters is located in the center of Manchester, in the iconic ABC buildings, which also house VERSA Studios, the BBC, The Farm, Sony, Quay Street Productions and LS Productions, among others. Located on the 4th floor, the 3,000-square-foot space features three off-tube booth commentary booths, two Avid Media Composer editing suites connected to the edit core, a dedicated audio control room, and two three-level production galleries designed to enable cloud-based, GPU-powered workflows such as MAVIS and GVAMPP. There is also a production office and a collaboration and meeting area.

New Gravity Media base will also be able to support clients with remote production and rental solutions for global broadcasters, production companies and live event organisers. The team can also offer specialist camera solutions and the ability to utilise OB truck, Pictor -the vehicle can fit up to 16 fixed cameras and seat a crew of eight.

“We’re delighted to join the historic base of Quay Street and the vibrant media community developing there,” says Nick Symes, Gravity Media – Director of Technology. “With our strong technical pedigree and well-established experience of complex live, fast turnaround and post production workflows we very much look forward to working with both established and new clients to provide the innovative solutions they need.”
