Grupo Record transforms its news production and distribution with Dalet Galaxy five
Dalet, a technology and service provider for media-rich organizations, has announced that Brazilian-based broadcaster, Grupo Record, will transform its news production and distribution at its TV Record Brasilia – TV Capital station with the deployment of Dalet Galaxy five. TV Capital, which covers local news and national Brazilian politics, is the seventh Grupo Record station to innovate its operation on the Dalet Galaxy five platform.
The broadcast group has hailed the reliability of the Dalet Galaxy five platform and Dalet’s deep understanding of “fast-paced media workflows as the reasons for the widespread adoption”. “Dalet solutions bring an immense level of efficiency and quality to our operation, enabling us to deliver higher quality programming content to our audience,” comments the engineering and technology supervisor Tomaso Papi, Grupo Record. “But it’s the close working relationship – the collaboration between the two companies – that has made this partnership such a success. We have a platform that can bend with the changing environment and a trusted partner that can help provide a path forward.”
Dalet Galaxy five will support 40 professionals as well as integration of TV Capital hardware of choice for on-premises archiving and production storage. Dalet AmberFin, a transcoding solution, preserves the integrity of content. Furthermore, editors will have a choice of Dalet’s own multimedia editor, Dalet OneCut, as well as Adobe Premiere Pro with seamless integration of both tools for a “friction-free” workflow with full content sharing and metadata tracking across the entire facility.
“We are invested in the Brazilian media market and partnered closely with companies like Grupo Record to build transformative workflows that help them deliver the very best sports, news or thematic show content,” states Julien Decaix, General Manager, Dalet Americas. “The reliability of our solutions combined with our deep understanding of the technical media landscape, business goals and audience needs are at the core of this relationship and we will continue to invest in these areas to ensure our customers’ success.”
