intoPIX to exhibit Live IPMX interoperability demo at InfoComm 2024

Cutting-edge IP solutions harnessing the full potential of JPEG XS technology with SMPTE 2110 and IPMX standards

At InfoComm 2024, intoPIX, a provider of low-latency, lightweight JPEG XS technologies, and AV-over-IP solutions, is set to host an exclusive live interoperability demonstration featuring the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) standard in conjunction with various vendors, showcasing the latest JPEG XS TDC profile designed for screen content. The event will take place from June 8-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The state-of-the-art demo will be held at Booth C8363, where intoPIX will exhibit networking equipment, hardware, and software operating with IPMX / SMPTE ST 2110 protocols. Attendees will witness a range of IPMX-enabled AV-over-IP workflows, including cameras, gateways, reference designs, and software applications, highlighting the advancements in JPEG XS technology, including the JPEG XS High and the new JPEG XS TDC profiles.

This demonstration will underscore the seamless integration of various sources, such as the Panasonic Connect AW-UE160 PTZ (JPEG XS), Adeas + Nextera FPGA core featuring the new intoPIX TicoXS FIP (JXS TDC) cores, and the intoPIX TitaniumShow App. These sources will transmit streams to the intoPIX TitaniumViewer App via the NetGear AV GSM4212px IP Switch, maintaining impeccable image quality without any latency.

Jean-Baptiste Lorent, Marketing and Sales Director at intoPIX, elaborated on the significance of this demo, stating, “With this unique showcase, we aim to highlight the capabilities of the JPEG XS TDC profile and demonstrate the practicality of IPMX in achieving multivendor interoperability.”

IPMX adopts a standards-based approach grounded in SMPTE ST 2110, incorporating features and functionalities tailored to the Pro AV industry’s specific requirements. By streamlining the implementation of SMPTE ST 2110 and ensuring interoperability across AV-over-IP systems, IPMX provides a robust framework for Pro AV installations.

Key partners participating in the demo include Adeas, intoPIX, NetGear AV, Nextera Video, and Panasonic Connect.
