Magewell to showcase new encoding solutions at IBC 2022

Magewell is set for a long-awaited in-person return to Europe’s media and entertainment technology trade show. On stand 7.A40 at IBC2022, to be held September 9-12 in Amsterdam, the company will showcase capture, conversion and transmission solutions that connect signals, software, streams and displays.

Magewell’s latest IP video and media solutions will be on display in demonstrations such as the following:

The company will showcase its new USB Fusion video capture and mixing hardware. This allows users to combine camera and wired screen-sharing and camera sources in live presentations. With two HDMI inputs and a USB webcam input, it allows users to switch sources or combine two inputs into one output. It has a USB 3.0 interface.

Pro Convert AES67 is a multi-format audio encoder, decoder and I/O interface device. It can convert IP-based audio between AES67 (including support for the SMPTE 2110-30 specification), NDI (with AAC compression). The device can also encode analog audio into AES67, NDI or SRT streams as an “on-ramp” to IP networks, as well as decode IP audio streams for analog output.

Finally, he will showcase the latest updates to the Ultra Encode family of universal encoders. They support H.264, H.265 and NDI |HX encoding, as well as a wide range of transmission protocols, such as SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP and HLS. Ultra Encode can also be combined with Magewell’s Pro Convert decoders for media transport. They can be managed through the Magewell Cloud software.

Magewell’s Netherlands-based distribution partner, MVD Europe BV, will help manage its exhibit at IBC2022. “It’s been almost three years since we’ve been able to meet customers and partners in person at an IBC show, and the media technology landscape has changed a lot in that time,” said Edo van der Gaag, Head of Business Development at MVD Europe. “We look forward to seeing everyone at IBC2022.”
