Ningbo TV held an interactive media event that united 15 coastal cities worldwide relying on TVU Networks’ solutions

TVU Networks has recently announced that Ningbo TV, part of China Central Television, has used its solutions to host a live, large-scale media campaign delivered to over 1,000 media organizations around the world.

Ningbo TV hosted “Ningbo: Setting Sail to Embrace the World”. It was an interactive media event that linked 15 historic coastal cities from around the world. Dozens of overseas guests took part in high-level interviews, speeches, and presentations celebrating the importance of the ocean to people everywhere. Situated near the Hangzhou Bay in Zhejiang, China, the port city of Ningbo serves as the eastern port of the “Maritime Silk Road”.

To achieve that project, Ningbo needed to ensure that audio/video transmissions from remote and overseas locations met the network’s standards. Another task was to guarantee guests from any location could interact and participate in the show.

They relied on TVU One and TVU Partyline. TVU One helped reporters gather and transmit footage from the event’s opening ceremony, which was held simultaneously in multiple locations integral to Ningbo’s historic and coastal roots. Using 4K HDR/HLG 10-bit video transmission, journalist teams can capture and transmit brighter images in a broader spectrum of colors. By aggregating cellular signals with its native 5G transmitter, TVU One provides streaming reliability from any location.

On the day of the Ningbo celebration, NBTV hosts and guests connected using TVU Partyline. During the Ningbo event, production teams live streamed guest meetings, speeches, presentations, and more to multiple platforms with this platform. This cloud collaboration solution makes it possible for production crews to deliver broadcast-quality, live interaction in real time.
