Pixera media server stars in Austrian charity fundraising broadcast
AV Stumpfl’s Pixera media server was a central key on “Austrian for Life” transmission. This TV charity fundraising show was broadcast on ORF 2 and Krone.tv to raise funds for different organisations on May 28th.
During the show, the Stephansdom Cathedral of Vienna was bathed in a projection mapping with video content and light. A large 200m2 LED display, deployed by the company 4youreye, acted as a frame for the stage and visually connected the cathedral and the cathedral square below.
Therefore, Pixera Media Server was the system used to control the mapping and the LED playout of the event, which led to donations exceeding 600,000 euros. 4youreye CEO Gerald Herlbauer summarised some of his technical impressions of the live TV charity fundraising show: “PIXERA’s user friendly interface makes the preparation phase a lot easier. Performance and reliability are both on the highest level. Finally, we have found a system where everything, from the planning stage to the pre-visualisation right up to and including the playout works perfectly. The support was equally top-notch. We feel very comfortable with using PIXERA.”
