Sky Sports Tennis to serve up tennis experience for UK & Ireland viewers

Sky Sports Tennis is set to become the ultimate destination for tennis enthusiasts in the UK & Ireland, as it launches on Sky and NOW from February 11, 2024. This channel will provide tennis content around the clock, designed for catering to fans’ needs.

With a commitment to offering more live tennis than any other platform, Sky Sports Tennis will bring over 4,000 matches from 80+ tournaments each year, including exclusive live coverage of the US Open.

This new channel follows Sky’s acquisition of the US Open, ATP, and WTA Tour rights last year, strengthening Sky’s portfolio of dedicated sports channels and delivering added value to customers. Starting on February 11, Sky Sports Tennis will be available to Sky Sports customers with Complete, Action, and Arena packages. Viewers can enjoy multiple live court streams simultaneously through the mobile app, the Sky TV app, or the red button, as well as on NOW Bonus Streams, offering expanded access to live matches.

The inaugural week will feature live coverage of the Hologic WTA Tour tournament in Doha, showcasing top players like Coco Gauff, Ons Jabeur, Aryna Sabalenka, Naomi Osaka, and Iga Swiatek. Following that, the ATP Tour from Rotterdam will take center stage, followed by a star-studded lineup featuring Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Andrey Rublev, and Daniil Medvedev in Doha starting February 19.

Sky Sports Managing Director, Jonathan Licht, said: “It’s an exciting moment for Sky Sports as we launch a new home for tennis fans, and Sky Sports Tennis will give millions of homes easy access to watch the best players in the world all year round. We’re proud to be the undisputed home of live sport for fans in the UK and Ireland, and this new channel will add value for our customers, enabling them to enjoy even more of the sports they love.”

Sky Sports Tennis will feature expert analysis from former British tennis stars Tim Henman and Laura Robson, hosted by Gigi Salmon, with Jonathan Overend providing commentary. In addition to live coverage, the channel will offer exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes access, and expert insights on major matches and moments throughout the year.
