Swedish operator Three has worked with Net Insight to synchronize its network over 5G
Mobile operator Three Sweden (“Three”) has selected Net Insight to synchronize its 5G network. The two companies have worked together to field evaluate Net Insight’s 5G time synchronization solution. Following these tests, Three has placed an initial order for Nimbra Time Nodes.
Three and Net Insight intend to enter into a framework agreement for a wider mobile network deployment. This is a demonstration of the ability of 5G time synchronization technology to distribute time across existing networks, reducing cost and complexity in the deployment of these networks.
“Net Insight’s solution offers unique advantages as an alternative to GPS synchronization thus creating redundancy and ensuring the availability of our 5G network,” says Per Stigenberg, chief technology officer at Three. “We have worked closely with Net Insight to verify the solution across our existing network and believe it is a solid fit for Three’s nationwide 5G synchronization of Three.”
“Three is known for utilizing new technologies that improve efficiency and quality of services. We are proud that Three, with its extensive experience and forward-thinking approach to 5G and time synchronization, has selected us and we look forward to continuing our close collaboration,” says Crister Fritzson, CEO of Net Insight. “Our mission is to enable faster and more secure 5G deployment for the world’s mobile networks and provide a GPS-independent solution.”
