Riedel implements Bolero intercom system at United Studios of Israel fixed and mobile facilities

United Studios of Israel (USI) has recently implemented Riedel Communications Bolero wireless intercom system to enhance communications capabilities across its Hertzliya Studios.

The integration has been made by Riedel’s regional partner, Arrowmid Communications, the system allows coms across eight television studios as well as OB vans in the field, during live production of entertainment, sports, and reality TV shows.

“We went through a due diligence phase and tested some wireless intercom systems, but we realized that the landscape in terms of reliable wireless communications technology is really tight,” said Haim Sivilia, Technical Manager at United Studios. “Riedel quickly stood out from the crowd in terms of RF performance, coverage, and audio quality, as well as ease of use.”

Riedel’s Bolero increases the range of communications, ensures audio quality, and provides configuration of user groups as required by various productions. The production company has shaved the extra cost for antennas while the system guarantees complete coverage.

“United Studios of Israel creates immensely popular programming across numerous genres, and it’s exciting to see Bolero supporting the company’s dynamic live production operations,” said Franck Berger, General Manager, Riedel France, Africa, and Israel. “Our wireless intercom technology is a great fit for this fast-paced multiple-studio production environment, and USI is making the most of it!”
