Vizrt releases Viz Libero 8.1, the latest update of its 3D analysis tool for sports

“Sports broadcasters face a triple challenge; speed, flexibility and higher quality. At this year’s FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar, Viz Libero 8.1 delivers all three. I am particularly excited by the new graphics, improved workflow for virtual 3D Flights, one of its most widely used features, and the highly detailed 3D models of all the stadiums. All these features will help producers and content creators shape their stories and analysis of the matches at this global sporting event,” remarks Sam Leadsom, Commercial Director of Sports, Vizrt.

3D camera-to-camera flights are enhanced using artificial intelligence to remove the time-consuming manual task of identifying and masking players to generate object cut-outs within this update.

The creative possibilities delivered by the integration between Viz Libero, Viz Engine and Viz Artist are showcased in the default graphics package, designed by broadcast graphics provider, Girraphic. The integration allows every customer to design their own 3D graphics.

Viz Libero AR Player extends Viz Libero’s studio capabilities to render in augmented reality a player —or any other object.

On the other hand, Viz Libero has been certified as a cloud solution and will be available soon via Viz Now, Vizrt’s cloud deployment solution. Viz Libero is also compatible with NDI.
