WorldCast Systems expands Ecreso FM AiO series with new power additions

WorldCast Systems has announced significant expansions to its highly regarded Ecreso FM AiO Series, introducing two robust new products and a substantial software update. These additions extend the series’ capabilities up to 2 kW, effectively meeting the medium power requirements of broadcasters with the introduction of 1 kW HR (high redundancy) and 2 kW transmitters, all within a compact 3U form factor.

The newly designed Ecreso FM AiO Series transmitters are engineered for superior performance and reliability, featuring dual hot-swappable power supply units (PSUs), two fans, and two RF pallets. This redundancy ensures maximum uptime, enabling continuous operations even in the event of component failures.

David Houzé, Ecreso Product Manager at WorldCast Systems, expressed pride in the expanded series: “We are proud to extend the Ecreso FM AiO Series with these reliable, medium-power transmitters. These enhancements underscore our commitment to delivering robust and efficient solutions that cater to the evolving needs of broadcasters.”

According to the manufacturer, the new 1 kW HR and 2 kW models will undergo testing by the end of this year, with production shipments scheduled to commence in Q1 2025.

In addition to the hardware upgrades, WorldCast Systems has introduced a new software version (v3.3.0) across the entire AiO Series range (100W-2 kW). This update focuses on SFN (Single Frequency Network) applications, incorporating a built-in GPS receiver for internal clock references, alongside 10 MHz and 1PPS outputs for peripheral equipment. The APT IP Decoder has also been enhanced with APT SynchroStream technology, enabling synchronized audio content distribution over the network. Furthermore, the APT IP Decoder now features a new Hot Standby Mode, ensuring automatic stream switching in case of connection loss, thus ensuring uninterrupted broadcasts.

Moreover, the AiO Series now supports the latest SNMP v3 revision, enhancing the security and management capabilities of FM transmitter fleets.

“With these advancements, the AiO Series solidifies its position as the most advanced FM transmitter for SFN applications, offering unparalleled precision, reliability, and security.”

As the company indicated, WorldCast Systems invites broadcasters and industry professionals to explore these innovations and experience the cutting-edge capabilities of the Ecreso FM AiO Series at IBC 2024, booth 8C61.
