The world of professional audiovisual (AV) and broadcast production is evolving at an unprecedented pace. To explore the boundaries that blur between AV, broadcast, and content creation, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) returns to the Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via, from 3-6 February 2026. Under the banner of “Push Beyond”, ISE 2026 looks forward to uniting industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries with the intention of offering new possibilities in AV and systems integration, as it has claimed in a statement.
The Broadcast AV Tech Zone, in Hall 4 and spilling into East Access, where the AVIXA TV Studio will be located, is designed as an inspiring showcase for the convergence of broadcast and professional AV, to try to reflect the industry’s shift towards unified, networked production environments. The adoption of IP-based standards has transformed how video and audio are transported, synchronised, and managed, enabling scalable and flexible workflows across live events and hybrid spaces. This evolution is underpinned by a strong focus on interoperability with reliability and the integration of AV and IT systems.
As networking technologies become central to broadcast AV, cybersecurity, data protection, and system resilience are more critical than ever, ISE 2026 will spotlight best practices for safeguarding media networks, from robust access controls to proactive monitoring and compliance with international standards. This spaces will focus on the impact of emerging protocols and cloud-based solutions and will explain how content creators and integrators are innovating while maintaining operational integrity.
Broadcast AV Summit: The era of creator, experience, and streaming
The Broadcast AV Summit at ISE 2026 throws the spotlight on how the boundaries between AV and broadcast are dissolving and a new era of content creation emerging. The 2026 Summit, chaired by industry advisor Ciaran Doran and co-hosted by Purminder Gandhu of IABM, is designed for corporate organisations, brands, agencies, broadcasters, podcasters, and video influencers who want to become their own broadcasters and engage audiences directly.
The summit explores the rise of three powerful economies shaping the future of media. The Creator Economy is transforming the landscape, as independent creators and brands now produce and distribute content directly to their audiences, bypassing traditional gatekeepers. This shift empowers organisations to own their narrative and build deeper connections with their communities. Meanwhile, the Experience Economy is driving brands to elevate their offerings by delivering broadcast-quality content that transforms customer engagement, blending entertainment, education, escapism, and aesthetics into immersive experiences. In addition, the Streaming Economy is experiencing growth, with companies moving beyond traditional markets to control their own distribution channels and brand stories.
ISE 2026 will offer insights into the technologies driving these changes, including the transition from SDI to IP-based workflows, cloud production, and remote production. These advances enable scalable and flexible content creation and distribution – making live streaming and on-demand broadcasting accessible to all.
The Summit features leaders and innovators at the forefront of live content creation and streaming.
