Concacaf and Netflix have signed a new four-year broadcast rights agreement for Mexico. Starting in 2027, the streaming platform will become the home of the Confederation’s two main men’s national team competitions: the Concacaf Nations League Finals and the Concacaf Gold Cup, as it has claimed in a statement.
As part of the agreement, Netflix will broadcast the 2027 and 2029 editions of both tournaments. The deal applies exclusively to the Mexican territory and to Concacaf men’s national team competitions included in the partnership.
The fifth edition of the Concacaf Nations League Finals will take place in March 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, featuring the four winners of the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the 19th edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup, featuring 16 teams, will be played in the summer of the same year and will crown the regional champion.
“We are very excited to partner with Netflix in Mexico as we continue to strengthen the way fans connect with our premier national team competitions”, shares Philippe Moggio, Concacaf General Secretary. “We know that in Mexico, the passion for football is unique, and this agreement allows us to bring these competitions closer to millions of fans through a new platform. It also reflects our commitment to providing high-quality access to tournaments that mean so much to our region.”
“At Netflix, we are increasingly investing in live events that connect with the biggest passions of our audience, and football is undoubtedly the passion that unites us as Mexicans”, adds Carolina Leconte, Vice President of Content for Mexico and Latin America Content Acquisitions at Netflix. “Concacaf national team matches bring together millions of fans in Mexico like few events can. We are thrilled that, over the coming years, fans in Mexico will be able to watch the Nations League Finals and the Gold Cup exclusively on Netflix at no additional cost”.
