A few years ago, immersive experiences moved beyond theme parks to engage audiences in museums, shopping centres and even corporate environments. For integrators, designers and producers in the region, they represent a growing field that requires disciplines that for years operated separately to work together: audio, video, lighting, content and control. Pulse, a dedicated space at InfoComm América Latina 2026, is designed with these professionals in mind, according to the event.
The space will host a seven-minute show that demonstrates audiovisual integration in action, as well as a forum exploring the technology, creativity and business behind these experiences.
Organised by AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association), InfoComm América Latina is the largest audiovisual systems integration industry event in the region. It will take place from 21 to 23 October at the World Trade Center Mexico City.
Seven minutes of technology
The show ‘Pulse: AV que se Siente’, created by Mexican artists, is led creatively by Monterrey-based experience designer Omar Serna, Director of New Business and Experience Design at Serpro Producciones.
Over seven minutes, spatial audio, 3D videomapping, lighting and lasers work together in an automated integration synchronised to the second. The experience is made possible through the technology and collaboration of Serpro, LANG AG and L-Acoustics.
Five sessions
Between performances, the same stage will host five sessions as part of the InfoComm América Latina Educational Programme.
Wednesday 21
On Wednesday 21, the programme will open with ‘The Future of Experience Design’, a two-speaker presentation by Mark Coxon and Christine Rogers of AVI-SPL’s Experience Technology Group (XTG). Starting from the premise that, in an increasingly digital world, people of all generations are once again seeking physical and shared experiences, they will explain how technology can encourage focus, curiosity and a sense of wonder in offices, educational spaces and healthcare environments.
This will be followed by ‘The People Behind the Show’, in which the Pulse creative team will explain how they built the production from the ground up, from the initial concept and space design to audio and video synchronisation and the challenges of real-time production, including errors and last-minute adjustments. Omar Serna will moderate the discussion with Salvador Garza Fishburn and Alex Espin of P.A.N.O.R.A.M.A. Group; Alejandro Garza of Orion Studio; and Roberto Palma of Photonic Tonic.
Thursday 22
On Thursday 22, ‘From Display to Experience: How Digital Art Activates AV Technology’ will bring together artists and creative technologists to discuss how an idea becomes a workable system, how technological limitations are addressed, and what new relationships emerge between content, space and audiences. Participants include Patricia Saucedo of Ajua Lab and VideomappingMX; Mónica Aguilar, co-director of the HelloWorld Festival; and Job Jiménez of Zingulart, VMMX Mexico Community and ANTICORP. The session will be moderated by Luis Rueda of Immersive Business Direction.
That same day, ‘Creating Imaginary Worlds: From Idea to Experience’ will examine the case of CEIBA, an exhibition at the Museo Inmersivo de Las Condes in Chile. A small team, without oversized budgets or imported talent, pushed its LED displays to the limits of their performance. Participants include Josué Ibáñez, immersive experience designer and creative director; Daniel Budinich, museum director; Omar Serna; and Renata Mérida Neris, Director of Live Content for AVIXA in Latin America.
Friday 23
On Friday 23, the programme will close with ‘Immersive Experiences: Mexico vs. the World’, a panel examining the position of Mexico’s industry within the global scene: which trends are arriving late, what is being done better than might be expected, and where the market is heading in the coming years. Omar Serna will be joined by Juanjo Albala of AVI-SPL’s XTG; Gilberto Castro of INTUS Interactive Design and InSpace; and Sergio Ramírez, founder of Demiurgo.
“Pulse captures what we want visitors to experience at InfoComm América Latina: to feel what audiovisual integration can achieve when audio, video, lighting and content work as a single system, and then understand how it was made and what opportunities it can create for their business. Immersive experiences are gaining ground across the region, and our community has much to contribute,” says Renata Mérida Neris, Director of Live Content for AVIXA in Latin America.
Pulse will be located in the Palenque room at the World Trade Center Mexico City, with sessions in Spanish and English and simultaneous interpretation into Spanish. Like the rest of the activities at InfoComm América Latina, attendance is free and does not require additional registration; visitors only need to complete the general registration. The detailed programme is also available online.
More than 50 sessions in the Educational Programme
Pulse is one of six thematic areas within the InfoComm América Latina Educational Programme, which includes more than 50 sessions led by 90 international experts.

The programme also includes two AVIXA activities: the CTS Quick Prep certification preparation course on 20 October, and the CTS certification exam, which will be available for the first time during all three days of the event in Mexico.
