Media Distillery has been selected by VTR, Chile’s largest cable operator, to update its replay user experience. The company has installed an AI technology solution that went live this month. This new deployment allows users to re-watch their favourite programmes with precisely correct start times when using replay.

VTR has installed the Media Distillery’s EPG correction solution into its networks. Using real-time analysis across multiple channels, EPG Correction from Media Distillery makes automatic replay start-time adjustments to coincide with the actual start and end times of TV programmes as they are broadcast. As a result, users can navigate programmes more accurately

On a normal basis, TV networks replay are matched with EPG-indicated start time. Sometimes, TV shows are not adjusted to that fixture and the viewer is not able to watch the complete program, as the record does not match with the show.
