Streamlabs, a Logitech-owned provider of live streaming tools, has announced the release of a new plug-in designed to integrate Streamlabs features into OBS Studio. This integration aims to provide creators with a more streamlined and efficient streaming experience.
Ashray Urs, Product Manager at Streamlabs, highlights the importance of this initiative: “Streaming is closely tied to the power of community, and this belief has inspired the launch of our new plugin for OBS. By breaking down the barriers between our unique solutions, we can help streamers achieve the best possible streaming experience.”
The new plugin, developed in collaboration with the OBS team, aims to enhance the experience for creators using OBS Studio by giving them access to essential Streamlabs features. Urs continues, “Empowering creators with simplified solutions that give them access to the tools and support they need will ultimately drive the industry forward.”
One of the key benefits of this new plug-in is the simplification of the relay setup process. Previously, creators using Streamlabs and OBS for their live streams had to spend hours configuring both platforms. With the new plugin, this process is reduced to minutes, allowing creators to focus on organizing more engaging and immersive streams.
According to the developer, notable features of the plugin include:
– Widgets and overlays: Users can customize their streams with thousands of animated overlays, alerts and professional scene transitions.
– Cloudbot: Streamers can connect to Streamlabs’ Cloudbot to enable gifs, mini-games and chat moderation.
– Tips: OBS users can receive tips more easily by directly connecting their PayPal accounts to the plugin.
– Recent events: This feature allows streamers to keep track of their stream events in OBS.
– Stream tags: Text overlays that update in real time based on interactions with viewers.
Taylor Giampaolo, Head of User Experience at OBS, expresses his enthusiasm for this collaboration: “We are thrilled that the Streamlabs plugin brings that experience directly into OBS Studio. This new integration will help both new and veteran creators and streamline the setup and live streaming process.”
Streamlabs subscribers can now download the OBS plugin.
