MagentaTV, a television and streaming service offered by Deutsche Telekom, has announced that will broadcast the FIFA World Cup 2030 in 2030. The announcement was delivered by Rodrigo Diehl, Board Member of Deutsche Telekom AG and Telekom Deutschland GmbH’s CEO.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from 8 or 9 June to 21 July 2030, with the opening matches to be played in South America, the official opening ceremony set to be held in Spain, and the final expected to take place in Morocco.
For the next years, MagentaTV has already secured the broadcast rights of 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, UEFA EURO 2028 and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
This year’s tournament, the 104 matches played across Europe, Africa and South America, are also available on the platform.
“So, a huge thank you to all our colleagues at Deutsche Telekom and to our partners. Across three channels, and with a real passion for football, you made sure fans could cheer, debate and experience every moment. Some decisions on the pitch were certainly controversial—but with MagentaTV in UHD, they were at least crystal clear”, he concluded.
