Atomos presents Shinobi, its new high brightness HDMI monitor

Interface of Atomos' Shinobi, the latest product of the australian company

The Australian company Atomos has introduced the new addition to its family of monitors. Shinobi is a 5-inch HDMI display with 1000nit brightness, a pixel density of 427 ppi and a touch-screen interface. Its HDR technology and AtomOS 10 system are the same as the well-known Atomos Ninja V monitor/recorder.

With a polycarbonate body and a Sony NP-F750 type battery that can run for up to six hours, Shinobi is designed for vloggers, creative and photographers who use mirrorless or DSLRs cameras. “Our single biggest customer request has been a stand-alone Photo and Video monitor – Shinobi answers that call. We’ve taken our pro color and HDR processing and designed a super lightweight monitor that any Youtuber or IGTV creator can afford”, said Jeromy Young, Atomos CEO.

Regarding the connections, the new monitor of Atomos includes an HDMI port that allows signals up to 4K at 30fps or HD video up to 60fps, an SD card port and a headphone jack on the side. The price of Shinobi is 399$.
