The digital wireless intercom system FreeSpeak II of Clear-Com has been chosen by Gearhouse to be used by Triple Eight Race Engineering Australia for the next four years. Both brands are the official communications partner of the Australian company, which competes as Red Bull Holden Racing Team in the Supercars Championship.

The system that Gearhouse will supply, service and install includes an Eclipse-HX based structure with nine 12 key panels and 15 FreeSpeak II belt packs roaming between four FreeSpeak II transceivers. It will provide communications between car controllers and their support staff. The company will also supply additional equipment, such as custom designed high noises headsets, solid-state recorders or equipment racks.
