Mobile Viewpoint has announced the release of what has defined as “another brand new ground breaking feature”: 2WayLink.

2WayLink is an optional extra on specific fixed and mobile encoders that allows encoders to have a bi-directional link with each other, as oppose to a one way traditional approach. 2WayLink meets the demands of production companies wishing to send 2-way streams back and forth between studios or back to an OB truck for example.

Not to be confused with traditional return video, which is often a low res fixed format stream, it can be combined with our mobile decoding and playout server with SIMs for example that can be positioned in the field and allows remote mixing and utilization of local and remote streams in full high resolution.

2 WayLink will be available from July 2020.
