Pinewood Studios has recently launched Pinewood Futures Festival. On the company’s words, “The screen industries’ largest career trade show for the next generation of talent.” The exhibition will take place at the Studios on 18-19 November.

The festival’s objective is to inspire and educate young people, from 14 until 22 years old, as well as career changers about the roles in Film & TV. The focus of this trade show is centered at the industry’s growth and they have admitted that they want to encourage people from all backgrounds and areas of the UK to enter the industry.

Over 4,000 tickets have already been registered by schools, individuals and educational institutions from across the UK. Attendees will have the chance to meet exhibitors from all areas of the industry including major productions companies and representatives from departments across film and TV Production.

There are several zones in the show: an exhibitor zone for companies and educational organisations to talk about routes into the industry; masterclasses with professional speakers explaining the range of roles and how to get started; Q&A sessions with different production departments to explain how a production comes together; and demonstration and workshops with industry insiders.
