Viaccess-Orca (VO) implements VO Player and VO QoX at Orange France to offer a better UX

Viaccess-Orca (VO) has shared with the press that Orange France is using VO’s Secure Video Player (VO Player) combined with VO’s QoE metrics dashboard system (VO QoX). The objective is to offer a superior UX across devices and identify severity and sources of poor media consumption for its video streaming service. The VO Player is deployed on smart TVs and mobile/tablets applications, enabling Orange France to gain insights of how millions of end-users experience video streaming quality in real time.

The VO Player enables Orange France to offer content protection on every screen. Preintegrated with a wide array of third-party encoders, packagers, analytics, advertising, app vendors, and CDN, the VO Player ensures smooth implementation within the Orange France OTT TV ecosystem. This solution, combined with VO QoX, allows Orange France to detect video streaming quality issues and make improvements to the user experience.

“Deploying a single, multi-platform media player for all connected subscriber devices simplifies streaming operations and enables us to provide a more compelling experience for viewers,” said Didier Teyssedre, Director of Service Platforms at Orange France. “We chose Viaccess-Orca as our technology provider based on their extensive OTT deployment expertise and unique insights into the user experience.”

“We’re thrilled to support Orange France on bringing a superior-quality viewing experience to their subscribers,” said Philippe Léonetti, CEO at Viaccess-Orca. “Our VO Player will help Orange France to reduce churn, improve subscriber satisfaction, and extend subscriber viewing times while providing autonomy to support additional features such as targeted advertising.”
