Ikegami showcases cutting-edge broadcast solutions at major industry events

Fresh from NAB Show in Las Vegas, Ikegami demonstrated its wide range of innovative cameras, control systems, and monitors at two major industry events: CABSAT in Dubai and Broadcast Asia in Singapore.

CABSAT highlights: UHK-X700 and UHL-F4000

At CABSAT, held from May 21-23, the spotlight was on Ikegami’s UHK-X700 IP-capable 4K-UHD HDR camera. “This gives content producers the freedom to master in 2160p, 1080p/1080i or 720p at 50 Hz or 59.94 Hz,” said Abdul Ghani, General Manager of Ikegami Middle East. “Optional high frame-rate capture via our BSX-100 base station and CCU-X100 camera control unit allows up to 8x speed production in HD or 2x in 4K.”

Designed for various mounting options, the UHK-X700 incorporates three 2/3-inch CMOS UHD sensors with a global shutter, minimizing artifacts when shooting LED screens or scenes with flash or strobe lighting. Weighing only 5 kg, the camera offers a B4 lens mount, an optical sensitivity of F11 at 4K-UHD/50p, and full HDR/SDR support.

Another highlight at CABSAT was the UHL-F4000, a power-efficient and lightweight UHD HDR camera designed for applications like helicopter-mounted aerial video capture. With three UHD CMOS global shutter sensors, it captures natural images free of distortion and flash band effects, offering features like noise removal, digital zoom, and image adjustment capabilities, as developers state.

Broadcast Asia unveils HDK-X500, OCP-500, and HLM series monitors

At Broadcast Asia, held from May 29-31, Ikegami introduced its latest-generation HDK-X500 camera, OCP-500 control panel, and two additions to the HLM series video monitors to the APAC market.

“The HDK-X500 gives customers the freedom to invest in new tools when needed rather than at the time of initial purchase,” said Yasunori Kanno, President of Ikegami Electronics Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. “Available options include wide colour gamut, SDI/IP hybrid or full IP connectivity, and upscaling from Full HD to 4K-UHD resolution.”

Equipped with three  2/3-inch CMOS global shutter sensors and automatic optical vignetting correction, the HDK-X500 is suitable for various applications, from studio operation to sports coverage and EFP/ENG, according to product specifications.

Ikegami’s new OCP-500 operation control panel allows the HDK-X500 to be controlled fully remotely, and the HLM-2460WA and HLM-1860WR HD video monitors made their APAC debut, build on the features and performance of the HLM-2460W, with improved contrast ratios, peak brightness, and display resolutions tailored for broadcast environments and monitor walls.
