Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC), the UK-based motion control robotics company, has announced that it has entered liquidation, with Lee Manning and James Thompson of S&W LLP appointed as joint liquidators, according to a statement published on MRMC’s website.
The joint liquidators confirm that they have reached an agreement for the sale of the entirety of the company’s business and assets, although the transaction remains subject to contract.
“The prospective buyer has indicated its intention to continue the company’s operations, restore a leading brand in the sector, and provide support to its existing customer base and suppliers. This includes plans to honour certain warranties and continue supporting customers” MRMC states.
The liquidation process was formally initiated on 22 May, almost two months after Nikon announced its divestment from the company. Subsequently, after a decade in its portfolio, the Japanese firm is understood to have opted to sell it to the UK investment firm Blandford Capital.
The company has said it will provide further information to customers in due course. In the meantime, it states that any orders and rental commitments confirmed by the liquidators will continue as planned. According to the company, team members have already contacted affected customers directly.
