Bridge Technologies has announced the deployment of its VB330 monitoring probe at Sunrise. This initiative looks forward to supporting the Swiss telecommunications provider’s continued evolution of IP-based television services, as the company has claimed in a statement.
As viewing habits and technology requirements continue to evolve, Sunrise is working on strengthening its streaming capabilities for live and linear TV. Broadpeak’s Multicast ABR is one of the technologies used to support efficient and resilient IP-based delivery, alongside other delivery models that keep the platform flexible and under Sunrise’s control.
Additionally, this flexibility allows Sunrise to integrate selected third-party technologies into its TV ecosystem as requirements evolve.
Bridge Technologies’ VB330 is designed to probide visibility into IP-based TV delivery and support Sunrise engineering teams in validating and operating services across multicast and unicast delivery paths.
“For Sunrise, the value lies in maintaining operational insight and flexibility across the TV platform. Monitoring supports informed decisions, stable service delivery and efficient troubleshooting, while the overall architecture, service design and roadmap remain under Sunrise’s control”, explains Fabrizio Campanale, VP NW Operations & TV & InHome Engineering at Sunrise.
Simen Frostad, Chairman of Bridge Technologies, comments: “As operators expand IP-based workflows, visibility across delivery environments becomes increasingly important. We are pleased that Bridge Technologies can support Sunrise in this area”.
