Arkona technologies GmbH has announced a new OEM partnership with system integrator BFE Studio und Medien Systeme GmbH. The partnership will allow arkona to offer arkona-branded control panels for their SDI-IP routing systems, as the company has claimed in a statement.

The agreement follows increasing demand from end users for arkona-labelled control panels as the company’s EASY-IP concept has gained traction in the market. Since introducing EASY-IP – a solution designed to help broadcasters make the transition from SDI to IP-based production facilities – arkona has attracted interest from broadcasters building larger SDI-IP routers, creating a need for comprehensive control solutions, both software and hardware-based.

BFE, a member of the Broadcast Solutions Group, manufactures its own KSC product line of control and management solutions. The company has offered these control panels for decades and maintains a substantial installed base across Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.

Arkona’s existing control interfaces – including NMOS and Ember+ – already allow system integrators and end users to work with control panels from various third-party suppliers. However, as larger router systems have been deployed, the company, affirms, has received requests from customers for end-to-end solutions carrying the arkona brand itself.

Since arkona has been controlling BFE-labelled panels directly from its own EasyIP BLADE//master control software for some time, formalising a branded partnership with BFE as an OEM made good senses. The long-standing trust built between the two companies will therefore be formalised through the delivery of arkona-branded control panels from October 1st.

These panels will be on display during IBC2026 (11-14th September, at RAI Amsterdam), where arkona and technology partner manifold will be sharing stand 8.A69.
