Lawo unveiled crystal Clear Virtual OnAir Control Interface at IBC 2024

Lawo has introduced its latest innovation in radio production, the crystal Clear Virtual OnAir Control Interface, at IBC 2024. This new solution aims to revolutionize how radio content is created and delivered, both in-studio and remotely.

Designed to meet the evolving needs of radio broadcasters, crystal Clear offers an elegant and intuitive virtual control solution. It replaces traditional hardware with a touchscreen-operated interface that integrates seamlessly into existing workflows, providing broadcasters with a centralized point of control for all operations.

The interface caters to both seasoned professionals and the next generation of radio talent, prioritizing creativity and storytelling over technical complexity. It features a Self-Op view for radio hosts with minimal technical background, and a Broadcast Engineer view with advanced functionalities like automatic mic input gain, fade in/out, and AutoMix groups for hands-free mixing.

Key to crystal Clear’s appeal is its ability to consolidate playout systems, web sources, audio control, and social media tools into a single, unified interface. This setup allows presenters to focus on content creation without the distraction of multiple displays and controls, enhancing the overall broadcasting experience.

As radio production increasingly embraces remote and decentralized workflows, crystal Clear provides unparalleled flexibility. It supports various environments from home studios to mobile setups and live broadcasts on-the-go, ensuring broadcasters can deliver compelling content from anywhere.

Moreover, according to the specifications of the product, Crystal Clear is cost-effective, offering a high-performance solution that reduces equipment costs and studio clutter. By streamlining operations and enhancing flexibility, Lawo sets a new standard for broadcast control interfaces.

Aligned with Lawo’s Power Core Modular I/O and DSP device, crystal Clear supports different studio setups and channel requirements, offering flexibility through Console Compact and Console MAX licenses. Additionally, the Lawo Audio I/O Extender (AIOX) complements crystal Clear by extending local I/O such as microphones and headphones.

Lawo’s crystal Clear Virtual OnAir Control Interface is poised to redefine radio production capabilities, as the company stated.
