Chyron updates its Prime Live broadcast platform to version 4.2

Chyron has recently announced the last upgrade of the Prime Live Platform. The 4.2 version offers a suite of production capabilities including live graphics, production switching, video walls and scaling, touchscreen, branding, venue control and augmented reality.

The interface control is renewed on the Bindings View and for graphics playout functionality, this release includes the ability to add an X-keys object to any scene and assign parameters, triggers, even command sequences to a single key.

The platform from Chyron now offers X-keys control on the switcher side. Additionally, the switchers include GPI Out Tally Control and Active Keyer Indicators in order to help operators to achieve transitions. The platform is enhanced with the ability to recall individual user switcher settings. On the audio side, PRIME Switcher now offers configurable audio delay offering easy synchronization of audio and video feeds.

“With this release of the PRIME Live Platform, we have really focused on usability requests from our longtime customers,” said Louis Garvin, Chyron vice president of product management. “Chyron is known as a leader in graphics, and this release has significant enhancements to PRIME CG.”

This solution is deployable on-prem, in the cloud or in hybrid architecture. It is prepared to an environment-agnostic system. The Prime Live Platform includes I/O support for SDI HD and 12G, NDI, and IP 2110/2022, as well as streaming protocols. Numerous formats and codecs are supported as well, and this version adds support for H.265.
