Ateliere impulses media supply chain workflows efficiency with Ignition

Ateliere has unveiled a groundbreaking tool that boosts media supply chain automation. Ignition, the new visual design assistant, simplifies the orchestration of media supply chain workflows within Connect, according to the information released by the company.

Dan Goman, CEO at Ateliere, emphasizes the importance of user-friendly technology in streamlining operations: “Our customers have grown accustomed to user-friendly technology in every aspect of their lives.” He points to platforms like Slack, Teams, and Trello as examples of how efficiency can be enhanced across organizations.

As the company states, with Ignition, the process of creating and monitoring automated workflows in Ateliere Connect becomes remarkably straightforward. This tool is designed to complement the platform’s content packaging and distribution capabilities, allowing users to design workflows quickly and efficiently using a visual designer, without the need for coding or scripting. Built-in guardrails ensure optimal workflows, minimizing user error and simplifying processes to achieve unprecedented operational efficiency, according to the specifications release by the firm.

“Ignition builds upon the benefits of Connect to represent the collective industry shift towards easy-to-use, industrialized SaaS solutions,” adds Goman. It transforms media ingest and delivery processes, offering customers unparalleled flexibility and efficiency in workflow design within a powerful turnkey platform.

As Ateliere points, one of Ignition’s key advantages is its elimination of time-consuming custom development and costly ongoing maintenance associated with bespoke ingest or delivery workflows. Another claim of the company is that leveraging cloud-native advantages, workflows designed with Ignition can be easily scaled within the Ateliere Connect ecosystem to manage costs effectively.

Ignition comprises three main components: the Workflow Manager, Workflow Designer, and Workflow Monitor. The Workflow Manager facilitates the creation, editing, importing, and exporting of workflow definitions. The Workflow Designer allows users to create visual representations of workflows using intuitive drag-and-drop tools. Finally, the Workflow Monitor provides a centralized dashboard for tracking the progress of past and present workflow instances in real time.

Ignition is now included in the Ateliere Connect platform subscription and is available to all Ateliere Connect customers.
